Just as some things can't be fixed, there are also some things you can't control. And this fact can be so hard to accept for those of us who like to both fix and control things.
You wish to make things a lot easier but it got drifting away out of your control. you might have a lot of influence, all the autonomy you could wish for, and independence for days but when it comes to things you can't control, none of that matters.
I believe not just only me, but most people will come at some point in life that you put your arm across you, tap your shoulder, and say "This too shall pass ".
Invariably this advice or thought normally will come when you are down or going through a tough time. And let's be honest it is a good way to see the light at the end of the tunnel and put us in mind that it will be darkest before dawn and all of this too shall pass.
There will be a time when you feel invincible and there's a time when you feel powerless. We may wish that we knew better, but we are not. we caught up in the bubble of success during the good times and sink deeply into the fall of failure during the bad times.
Without fully realizing that time is both our ally as well as our worst enemy and it is based on our attitude during our success or our failure that time defines how we are treated when it turns.
Understanding the vagaries of time is important for us as the leader of our own life. It will define you, your patience when you have nothing, and your attitude when you have everything.
It reminds me of lyrics from Florence + the machine:
So we may feel bad that something did not go as planned, or we may struggle with why something did not work. The ride might get bumpy now and then, but no matter what it is keep this Resonating within you that THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
Therefore, if we can come to terms with the things we can't control, or at least stop worrying about them so much, and at the same time we learn to appreciate the good things while there's still time - Perhaps we'll be much happier.
