My Journey Through Reflection: Adding Meaning and Laughter innit!

In the whirlwind of world thirties, it often feels like I'm on a F1 Car  with no freakin seatbelt. Juggling work, relationships ( this is a bit a grey if i might say) , and the irresistible pull of my Netflix queue on a Saturday night, I wondered if there was a secret sauce to make these years count. And you know what I found? It's all about reflection.

So, let me take you through my journey or this pass half of year of Chits’s self-discovery, laughter, and perhaps my own personal growth.

1. Embracing My Imperfections

My journey from Point A to Point B is more like a 4 year’s toddler painting – a beautiful mess. In my early thirties, I used to stress about the idea of 'perfect.' But then come to here  I realized that the quirks, the messy hair, and the "still watching?" pop-up are what make my life interesting.

Perfection sometimes is overrated; it's the messy, unpredictable journey that fills my life with stories to tell. So now m kinda ride without using a waze. I know the anxiety will be there since i know for sure how control freak I am, but then again life sometimes pretty random right.

2. Mindful Self-Examination

Reflection, for me, became a time of mindful self-examination. I'd sit down and ask this to myself:

  • How am I really feeling about my career, relationships, and personal growth?
  • What all the external factors are influencing my choices and decisions?
  • How do my closest friends and family perceive my life choices, and what can I learn from their perspectives?

This deep dive into my thoughts and emotions opened up a treasure trove of self-awareness. Knowing self it gives you the drive to value that everything can be just enough.

3. Exploring New Horizons

My worldview, beliefs, and experiences used to be like a single star in a vast galaxy. But through reflection, I've realized that I have my very own spaceship to explore this universe of possibilities.

It's the realization that my perspective isn't the only one. So, I started trying new things, whether it's new language , or subscribing a dance app just to try out to dance in a different beat or even appreciating a stupid viral video . And you know what? It's liberating.

4. Setting Personalized Goals

To make reflection meaningful, I set goals that are deeply personal to me. Whether it's achieving milestones in my career, or simply practicing self-compassion, I broke these goals into small, actionable steps. These steps became my roadmap to the person I want to be, a better Chits!

5. Laughter: My Secret Sauce

Laughter became my secret sauce to spice up my reflections. Life can get too serious sometimes. So, I made it a point to laugh at the absurdity of it all – Like how’s reyne could wait bakmi for an hour , the sudden urge of Benedict eggs! Yeahh rite what a cravings, Netflix's unrelenting questions, and yes, even the cat memes. Laughter fueled my creativity, and that creativity became a catalyst for personal growth.

My thirties are a remarkable chapter in the book of my life. I'm making every moment count by embracing my imperfections, practicing mindful self-examination, exploring new horizons, setting personalized goals, and adding laughter to every step of the journey.

Through this reflection, I've discovered that life is indeed a comedy – and I've learned to write the best punchlines. Here's to making every reflection matter and finding inspiration in the laughter that fills my  boring yet exciting life.

Love,

Chits!

Finding Strength in Vulnerability: My Journey with Anxiety

Hello there! Can you believe we're already halfway through 2024? Time truly flies. Unfortunately, this year didn't start off on the best note for me. It's been a long, dragging few months, and just yesterday, I experienced a severe anxiety attack that lasted for three hours. It felt like my world was falling apart. I couldn't catch my breath, my heart was racing, and my body was shaking uncontrollably. What triggered this? It was just a normal Monday until this sudden wave of anxiety hit me. I had to leave my desk and talk to a colleague to try and distract myself. But the palpitations only grew worse, and I found myself telling my close friend that I needed to get out of there. As soon as I reached the bench outside, the tears started flowing. I felt more vulnerable than I have in two years. It reminded me of my first anxiety attack, which happened alone, in the middle of the night, leaving me feeling lost and scared. I've always been a worrier, constantly frettin...

Honoring Our Journey of Progress

Hey there, beautiful souls! How's life treating you all? Sending out a shower of blessings your way. Lately, I've been on another     journey of self-discovery and growth. It's incredible how we can be our own worst critics, isn't it? We often find ourselves tangled up in the web of our own expectations, only to end up feeling utterly devastated when we fall short of achieving what we desire. Yews ouch!   Ah, the vicious cycles of life! They have a way of knocking us down, hitting us hard in the gut, and making us question our worth. It's as if we're constantly riding a roller coaster, one moment feeling on top of the world, and the next, crashing down to the depths of despair. Oh, how I know that feeling all too well! But you know what? In the midst of these tumultuous ups and downs, I've learned a valuable lesson. I've come to realize that it's unrealistic to expect myself to be the same person every single day. Life is a constant ebb and flow, and...

Near-death Reflection

Two days ago,  I had an experience that shook me deeply and made me truly appreciate the precious gift of life.  After more than twenty years of driving, I was in a major car accident.  I don't remember much about the incident, other than the airbag exploding in my face.  I was in shock at the time, but perhaps thanks to my previous training as a crew member in an emergency, I was able to cope with the situation. But when I got home, I succumbed to emotions and found myself unable to do anything but cry and cry.  Only then did I realize how lucky I was to be alive, how lucky I am to be able to get home.  The fact that the man whose towing my car said it was a terrible accident and I could lose my life.  The weight of this awareness impressed me so much that I could only hug my mother and keep crying. This experience made me think about how I live my life.  Have I treated others kindly and respectfully?  Have I made a positive impact on those ...
